I came into the office to start my day as a book keeper. As usual, I was a few minutes early. So, I didnt feel in too much of a hurry. I reached down and turned on my PC. I signed in, and walked over to the kitchen area for something to drink. When I got back, there were a hundred odd looking bugs moving all over my desktop screen.
When things are wrong at our house, it means; David fix it now! So, I calmly approached her problem desktop CPU – if just a bit cautious. I looked at her computer. There was this box with the big letters Warning Error. I had never seen anything like it before. I had no clue what was happening. All I knew was that she expected me to fix it right now.
Perhaps, something like that has happened to you. I understand that something like 97% of all windows PCs today have infections. Not all of them are as obvious. Not all of them are as damaging. Not all of them are even noticed by the average computer user. But they are there consuming computer memory; slowing the desktop CPU down; interfering with PC operations.
I have read about many kinds of issues like worms, Trojan horses, phishing, adware, spyware, viruses, and malware. Whatever the experts may call them, these pests can really mess up a PC big time. I am told that there are three chief placed where these pests hide: temporary internet files, temporary windows files, and in the operating system itself. To get a PC running properly means getting rid of the infection.
My friend had no idea what to do when suddenly his PC was infected. He had all the typical programs for anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-anti; but none of it worked. He tried running scan after scan, but his computer was still infected. When my wifes computer messed up, we just stared at each other. We had no clue what to do. So we started by running scans. We tried several programs. All we got was more and more frustrated.
Since we had no answers, we picked up the PC and drove to the store where we bought it. We thought it was under warranty. Sure! We quickly learned the warranty did not apply. The store technician told us it would be two to three weeks and would cost us $300 or more. I thought to myself, We only paid $750.
I later learned that the store where I thought they were going to fix my computer did not actually do the work themselves. That is right. The local store set my desktop CPU on a remote connection to a computer service center. A technician in Chicago fixed my desktop CPU in Texas without ever leaving Chicago. It was all done by remote connection.
Imagine today desktop CPUs can be repaired and maintained through remote internet connections faster and easier than similar repairs in a local computer shop. This makes a huge difference when it comes to cost too. Remote desktop CPU service may save as much as 75% over the traditional cost of local repair.
I never thought I could just leave my desktop CPU on and it would get fixed almost automatically, but that is exactly what happens with remote PC services.
